Grant & Funding Information
Community drives business. The South Shore Chamber of Commerce works with a plethora of community-centered funding programs and organizations to provide our members with the very best grant and alternative business funding opportunities. We have partnered with local banks and organizations that will work hard by our side to give you inclusive funding opportunities for your small business.
The South Shore Chamber of Commerce has a strong business alliance and coordinates efforts with elected officials, the City of Chicago, and other community partners.
Neighborhood Business Development Center
The NBDC program provides grants to Chicago-based non-profit chambers of commerce and business support organizations to assist in the development of small businesses in Chicago, serve as liaison between local businesses and the City of Chicago, and provide neighborhood business development services.
Service Provider for SSA #42
SSA #42 provides enhanced services along 71st St. and Stony Island Ave, in addition to those offered by the City of Chicago. Special Service Area #42 is proud to release Requests for Proposals for the following services: Snow Removal, Litter Abatement, Landscaping, Security and Auditor Services.
Minority Business Certification Application Assistance
The SSCC offers assistance with application completion for those seeking to become federally recognized as a: Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), Women Business Enterprise (WBE), Veteran Business Enterprise (VBE), and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE).
